This Trip is Ideal For:

This trip offers a rare combination of canoeing, hiking, Pack-Rafting and rafting.

Spend two days canoeing the 20km length of Mahood lake. Enjoy the lakeside camping, beaches and swimming along the way. Keep your eyes peeled to view pictographs on canyon walls next to the lake, dating back as far as 3000 years.

At the end of the lake we will ditch the canoes and head out on foot towards the Clearwater River. As we hike through the forest along the Mahood River we will encounter stunning vistas of Sylvia and Goodwyn falls. The beautiful forest continues all the way to the confluence of the Mahood and the Clearwater.

From here inflate we will inflate our pack-rafts and begin floating once again, this time in the moving water. The paddling down stream is surrounded by towering canyon walls and spectacular waterfall hikes, you’ll experience some of the finest wilderness pack-rafting the west has to offer.

Top everything off with rafting our world class whitewater section of the Clearwater River.
