Things to do in Clearwater and Wells Gray Park
A half-day of rafting still leaves time for more exploring! These are a few of our favourite things to do in the area:
See the Waterfalls

Wells Gray Park is most famous for its breathtaking waterfalls. Many of them are visited from only a short distance off Clearwater Valley Road. Some are minutes off the road and others enjoy a beautiful hike through the forest to find them! There are 41 named falls in the park but here a list of a few of our favourites:

The geology, glaciers, old growth forest, rivers and waterfalls that make up Wells Gray set the stage for great views no matter where you go! There are many great trails in the park but here is a few of our favourites:

Clearwater and Azure Lakes

Both lakes are 25kms long and take you straight into the remote untouched heart of the park. Activities to do near Clearwater Lake:
Canoeing on the lakes
Water taxi up the lakes
Fishing
Hiking the Chain Meadow Lakes Trail
Swim at Dutch Lake

Go for a swim and hang out on the beach at Dutch Lake Park. The water is warm and it’s a great spot to relax!

Candle Creek Bike Trails and Viewpoint

Candle creek has 30km of well maintained mountain biking for all levels! There are a few different parking options but the Raft River Rec Site offers amazing views of the Raft River Canyon.
